Updated Book Blurb

The description on the About page is still valid but I decided to create a more concise book blurb that will be used when the books are released.

This gives you a bit more detail:

Long ago, when Earth was crumbling, a conflict with the mysterious Tridans forced humans to flee their world. Homeless and searching among the stars, 3 ships find 3 different planets to settle – Altan-Vega, Kordae, and Homnor.

After decades of peaceful life on Homnor, the humans are unprepared for war. A dark army rises from the north and sweeps aside the humans. Hundreds of thousands are killed, tens of thousands are enslaved and only a few thousand humans remain free. Fighting for their very existence in the wilds of Homnor, the freemen become fractured and disorganized.

The will to fight has abandoned many of the freemen. Most just hope to survive. While a special few dream of freedom.

Short Story Prequel Is On The Way

Hello! It’s been a while since I’ve posted an update.

But I wanted to let you know that I’ve decided to write a short story that will come out before the release of the main book – Dragonborn: Slaves of Homnor. The ebook will be released on Amazon. I’ll be sure to announce on Twitter and Facebook when the story is available.

Cheers!

Excerpt Included in 29 Days of Fantasy

A while back a friend from Twitter, Thomas A. Knight (author of a great book called The Time Weaver), invited me to write an article for his upcoming event called 29 Days of Fantasy. It’s an even which lasts the entire month of February. I decided to send in an excerpt from the book. The piece was a go for launch and on February 7th, 2012 a short excerpt was shared with the interweb.

Cover Art For Book One Revealed

At the end of January 2012, I was very pleased to reveal the cover design for Dragonborn: Slaves of Homnor. In case you missed it, here it is!

The cover fits well with the tone of the book and the overall style is perfect for providing continuity over the whole series.

About the Designer

The cover was designed by Keary Taylor of Indie Designs. I don’t remember how I came across Keary but I ended up reading her book Eden, which has since been optioned for movie rights, which led me to her blog and finally to her design page. If you’re into dystopian fiction then you’ll love Eden. Also, if you’re looking for a friendly designer that’s easy to work with and reasonably priced you know who to visit.
